With it, you can sync contacts and schedule, sync music, photos and videos, upgrade firmware, add new contacts, backup and restore mobile phone data, purchase applications, create music playlist, subscribe to podcast, save take photos and videos, transfer contacts to new mobile phone, etc.

It’s pretty easy to use the Samsung Kies. Just by installing it on your Windows or Mac computer, then plugging your Samsung mobile device in with the provided USB cable. Kies will find it, and present you with a fairly simple user interface full of things you can do with it. On Windows computers, Kies includes a set of universal device drivers so you don’t have to fool with that, and it will automatically recognize your phone in case you have more than one.

The Bad

Some users complain that the Kies works slowly, and it doesn’t support Samsung mobile device well Mac computer. When connect Samsung device to Kies via USB, it does seem unstable, tends to cut out requiring users re-connect the cable, which make Samsung mobile users annoyed because it is time wasting to establish a simple USB connection.

Although Kies can manage multimedia files such as audio, video and photos, it limits to certain file formats, for example, Kies does not recognise .avi files. Kies does not list the songs by when you added them, so you are stuck manually taking time to upload songs to your phone one by one pretty much. This program is very confusing, frustrating, and slow. Worse still, Kies can’t transfer playlists from iTunes.

Way 3. Use File Transfer to copy music from iTunes

Mac OS

Mac users already familiar with Android devices will know about Android File Transfer; a free-to-download piece of software for your computer available from Android.com.

1. Download the program, install it, and then simply attach your Samsung Phones to your Mac via USB. Android file transfer should automatically open up showing the file tree on your phone.

2. Next find the iTunes folder on your Mac where your tasty jams and sick beats are stored. It’s usually in this directory:

3. Then it’s just a case of dragging and dropping your chosen artist folders into the music folder in Android File Transfer.

4. Wait for the bar to complete, close AFT and disconnect your Samsung Phones. Then enjoy your tunes.

Windows

Over in Windows land, you don’t even need additional software to move your music over. Connect your Galaxy phones and make sure that it’s set to MTP-mode in the notifications area.

1. Just tap if that mode isn’t selected, disconnect and reconnect your phone, it should then show up in the File Manager under Connected Devices as with a little music player icon, in which you’ll find the music folder.

2. Hunt down your iTunes music on your PC through the File Manager, and then just drag and drop. When the transfer’s complete, unplug your USB, plug in your headphones and rock out.

It’s also worth nothing that both of these drag-and-drop methods work for transferring music from practically anywhere on your computer, not just iTunes. The same can also be said for other files like movies, pictures and PDFs too. It’s a free method. If you have few songs, you can do it easily. However, if you have hundreds of thousands of songs, you have to open lots of artist folders and export songs from them.

Whatever way you choose, happy listening.
